Furnishing “green” a 80 square-meter terrace in the heart of Lugano, valorising as well the passion of the owners for modern art.
We are in Lugano, Switzerland, in an attic in the centre of the city of a young couple loving modern art. The house is full of Bonalumi and Fontana artworks and sculptures signed by Igor Mitoraj and Arman. The structure boasts wide windowpanes overlooking open spaces and a patio covered by limestone. To recreate continuity between the precious objects inside the home and the spaces outside, we have installed 100 shrubs and elegant bamboo stems, extremely accommodating and easy-inserted in black terracotta vases of Atelier Vierkant with a squared and sculpted line, custom-made and posed on a bed of black gravel. All this is valorised by the installation of Teak flooring and continuous lines of LED light that create a scenario of great emphasis in the evening hours. It took ten days of work to realize this terrace with minimal style and great reference to modern art.
