On the last floor of a residential building near the sea there is a terrace which needed to be turned into a small private green oasis, a refuge away from noises and chaos of the beaches and streets of Lignano Sabbiadoro.
Sandrini started this transformation by choosing a luxuriant and typically Mediterranean vegetation. In particular, essences characterized by light colors and decisively decorative trait were chosen. The herbaceous plants with silvery leaves, as Festuca Glauca, contrast with the bright green of the evergreen Shrubs and with the rounded shapes of the Opuntia rotundifolia. The blooming is either white (Hydrangea arborescens ‘annabelle’, Chrysanthemum frutescens, Nerium oleander) or light blue (Agapanthus africanum, Plumbago spp.).
The space design is realized with a modern taste that reflects the high tech style of the interiors, where linearity and purity of the shapes combines with a sea-side and holiday atmosphere.
As regards the furniture, Sandrini chose modern elements with rigorous lines, perfectly in harmony with the internal style of the house. The materials that were used allowed to create a minimalist atmosphere which was at the same time also warm and convivial: Iroko wood for pavements, stainless steel for railings and custom-made flowerpots made of galvanized steel foils.
Another important elementi s the small hydromassage pool that Sandrini wanted to realize in this luxuriant green area in order to create a scenographic relaxing corner.
For completing this green oasis, a scenographic lighting system was added for enhancing, in a suffused way, shapes and colors and also a sound diffusion system was installed and integrated with that of the apartments.
The final effect is that of a green scenography, luxuriant and harmonious which surrounds continuously all the terrace and that allows at the same time a perfect privacy and a deep relax.
