Natural garden in Tuscany

A celebration of Mediterranean vegetation

In this corner of Tuscan paradise, dominated by Mediterranean forest, Sandrini’s main goal was to integrate the new garden with its surroundings.
The resulting garden style is natural, perfectly in keeping with environment and the tastes of the owners: large patches of Mediterranean shrubs, escarpments planted with ground cover vegetation capable of limiting the erosive phenomena typical of summer storms in the area, specimen trees of Pinus pinea, Quercus ilex and Quercu suber used for the twisted and sculptural trunks.

Predominant are the Mediterranean colors: the purples of Lavender, Perovskya and Bougainvillea; the grays of the leaves of Agaves, Cerastium and Senecio; the oranges and yellows of Lantana, Leonotis and the espaliered Lemons; the greens in the different shades of Rosemary, Pittosporum, Bossi and Grasses. A stone staircase, perfectly integrated with the garden, traverses the entire property. A winding walk that gets straight to the heart of this garden where the ecstasy of colors, scents and variety of essences is reached.

Behind the swimming pool, only geometric and formal touch in the garden, one admires an interplay of topiary balled boxwoods and luminous globes nestled in a cushion of gray Senecio leaves as a celebratory apotheosis of Mediterranean vegetation.
