Capri style between Mediterranean and modernity
The project enhances and rehabilitates the outdoor space of this old Caprese house while respecting the traditional style typical of the island. Terraces, roofs and inner courtyards have become an integral part of the house, real outdoor rooms, in which every piece furniture contributes to create an evocative setting with natural and relaxing tones. The typical chestnut wood and reeded pergolas have been repurposed in total authenticity, rustic but at the same time very elegant.
Every detail has been studied and carried out with passion and care, according to Sandrini philosophy.
Iron works (railings, parapets, gazebos) were designed by recreating a textural effect reminiscent of Giacometti’s sculptures; treillage and supports for climbing plants were made from woven Willow sticks as they were made in the past in Caprese terraces.
The botanical species chosen are in total symbiosis with the typical essences used in the old Capri houses and terraces: Citrus, Bougainvillea, Vine Pergolas and Oleanders. Reclaimed ancient jars host Fuchsias, Alocasias, Prickly Pears, Asparagus, Capers, Lantanas, Agave, Cycas, Agapanthus blooms, Aloes and Euphorbias .
A beautiful specimen of Schinus Mollis has been placed in the main courtyard, which provides shade in hot Capri summers to the wicker living room.
