An outdoor green room

This terrace is located in Rho, on the top floor a building overlooking several rather neglected residential complexes dominated solely by gray concrete. In response to this bleak view, Sandrini designed, and built, not only a screen to the outside, but also a true green oasis inside.
The main intervention consisted of creating a roof garden with the help of Optigrun technology, that is, creating topsoil substrates to bring greenery to life in very little space. Perimeter walls were then built to contain the soil where medium/high essences could be planted. Indeed, on the perimeter of the terrace classic Hedge Shrubs with flowering cushions of various colors.
The scenic element of this roof garden, was achieved through the creation of a steel water feature, framed by evergreen essences and large terracotta pots.
The central part of the garden was, however, deliberately left to lawn, to give breath and depth to the entire area, which, thanks to these interventions, constitutes a real ”room” in the open air.
