Modern and functional design for a relaxing oasis

On the top floor of a residential building near the sea is a terrace that needed to be transformed into a small private green oasis, a refuge away from the noise and chaos of the beaches and streets of Lignano Sabbiadoro.
Sandrini initiated this transformation by opting for lush vegetation with a typical Mediterranean character. In particular, essences characterized by muted colors and a strongly decorative bearing were chosen. Silver-leaved herbaceous plants, such as Festuca glauca, contrast with the bright green of other evergreen Shrubs and the rounded forms of Opuntia rotundifolia. Blooms are white (Hydrangea arborescens ‘annabelle’, Chrysanthemum frutescens, Nerium oleander) or blue (Agapanthus africanum, Plumbago spp.).
The design of the space is made with a modern taste that reflects the high-tech style of the interior, where linearity and purity of forms blend with a marine and holiday atmosphere. For the furniture, Sandrini chose modern elements with strict lines, in perfect harmony with the interior style of the house. The materials used made it possible to achieve a minimal, yet warm and convivial atmosphere: Iroko wood for the floors, stainless steel for the railings, and custom-made planters made of galvanized sheet metal.
Another outstanding element, is given by the small whirlpool pool that Sandrini wanted to build within this lush green to give life to a scenic corner of relaxation. To complete this green oasis, a scenographic lighting system that enhances, in a suffused way, shapes and colors and a sound system integrated with that of the apartments have been included.
The final effect is that of a lush, green, harmonious setting continuously surrounds entire terrace while providing perfect privacy deep relax.
