Return to the Sicilian baroque garden

At the charming monastery of San Domenico in Taormina, which has been transformed into the prestigious Hotel San Domenico for several decades now, Sandrini was responsible for restoring and recovering the fabulous gardens.
In conjunction with a very big event celebrated by a very famous Fashion Brand that chose the San Domenico as its Location, an intervention of great emphasis and charm was carried out by Sandrini where the classic Sicilian Baroque garden was reconstructed.
A riot of colors, scents, flowers and fruits where magic, scenery and lived look and create an unmistakable atmosphere.
The inspiration stems from search for what are the aesthetic canons of that noble, yet popular, Sicily so extolled and emphasized in the film The Leopard.
Centuries-old plants of Phoenix and Strelizias have been enhanced through the inclusion of large blooms of Bougainvillea and citrus, Geraniums mixed with patches of Lantanas and Cysts, large antique vases and jars of different shapes and patterns have been scattered in groups as if they had been there for years, and the absolutely random play of blooms creates a simple but very atmospheric and flavorful effect.
