Private villa in Turin

A stylish marriage of scenography and usability

In an exclusive residential context, on the Turin hillside, a stone’s throw from the center but surrounded by greenery, sits this private villa with bold modern lines. The desire of the young owners was to create a modern and scenic garden but, at the same time, one that would be practical and easily usable.
The area designated for the garden was characterized by a significant internal difference in height and large areas of slope that were difficult to access and maintain; for these reasons, the design solution adopted by Sandrini, was first and foremost geared toward redefining the levels.
Retaining walls were created to widen the flat lawn areas as much as possible, and the focus was on establishing dense, neat vegetation on the steepest areas to create a low-maintenance aesthetic element.
At the entrance, Bossi, Tassi, and Ilex topiati dialogue with the geometric volumes of the architecture, while the retaining wall along the driveway has been covered with a black slate mosaic to contrast with the white of the house.
A stainless steel water play, glowing spheres, vases and colorful plastic sculptures decorate the garden with irony and style.
