Penthouse on Lake Garda

New splendor and vitality for a Royal Palace

In a beautiful glimpse of Lake Garda, with a special view, the normal roof terrace of a penthouse has been transformed into a wonderful roof garden with a swimming pool, totally improving the scenic impact and enhancing the house in a unique way.

A great challenge the one achieved by Sandrini Green: to join the front part of the building’s roof, to the back part in embankment, thus creating a single continuous space. In fact, with the “Optigrun green roof” system, it was possible to create a single elevation that connected to the natural line of the ground behind the building.

This resulted in an immense and scenic space that gives the total feeling of being in a garden, and the work was completed by also creating a beautiful swimming pool in the embankment part.

An interplay of geometric shapes into which the borders of Mediterranean shrubs such as: rosemary, agapanthus, ceanothus, lavender, perroskie, and agave were inserted for a clean, minimalist yet natural and harmonious effect.

In the back, however, a backdrop of exotic plants consisting of banana trees, strelizia, cordilina, pormium, cycas, and oleanders has created a natural amphitheater that embraces and protects the garden while instilling a sense of protection and well-being.

Beautiful furniture and vases by Atelier Vierkan in black stoneware complete the work, as well as the large but lightweight metal pergolas also designed ad hoc by Sandrini Green, including the large masonry seat from which the splendid view is overlooked.
