An elegant and welcoming inner courtyard
In Bergamo, in the upper part of the city, is the prestigious palace Residenza Astino of which Sandrini created the roof garden that forms the inner courtyard.
The simple character of the exteriors of this building, was enhanced by the creation of a geometrically styled and minimal wall unit that echoes the classic forms the Italian garden. Sandrini chose simple tree essences such as Olive and Cypress trees whose classicism is combined with the modern style by a steel water feature and white gravel paths.
Classic and modern come together through the combination of cutting-edge technology and natural elements such as stone and iron.
To impart a strong personality to this garden, Sandrini designed and custom-built various components such as containment planters, pedestrian paths, and water features. The result is truly stunning: the simplicity of the building’s exterior is enhanced by this garden that is refined in its details, elegant and welcoming.
