Marine atmospheres for a lake dwelling

In Padenghe on Lake Garda, a villa pied dans l’eau, built in the 1960s, has undergone a major renovation. The owner’s love of all things nautical and boat-related acted as a fille rouge: the house, both internally and externally, was envisioned as a boat with caoutchouc fugue teak floors, steel portholes, and steel cable railings.

The same marine imprint therefore also applies to the exterior of this home. Sandrini aimed to enhance the existing Maritime Pines and create a body water that would give even more of the ‘idea of a boat so beloved by the client. Sandrini designed and built a very special swimming pool: wind roses set into the white flooring and a steel cable barrier surrounding it that makes it look like a real boat.

The contrast then with the meadow and the surrounding large Mediterranean patches composed of Oleanders, Lavenders, Agapanthus, Phormium, Cordyline and Cypress trees help to emphasize this evocative summer and marine feeling.
