Vertical gardens for the exclusive heart of Milan
The careful restoration of Palazzo Beltrade, a relevant building designed by the famous Architect Portaluppi, is a refined and elegant expression of modern living. In this modern elegance, the ‘green element is an integral and fundamental part of the project: nature enters the heart of Milan giving beauty to the eye and a feeling of well-being and vitality. The inner courtyard, terraces and all the balconies of the Palace are dressed in green, creating a balanced and sophisticated setting in which the vertical garden is main element. The large green wall surprises the visitor in its unexpected magnificence where Sandrini has selected every single botanical essence with great care and attention. Underlying this meticulous selection are both aesthetic aspects and aspects of resistance to the variable exposure of light and wind on the top floors. The plants draw large colorful backgrounds: the protruding volumes of Fatsia Japonica alternate with the delicate texture of Soleiroila, the bright greens Carex and Aucuba contrast with the dark red of Euchera and the forest green of Viburnum, creating a feeling rhythm and movement that pervades the entire composition.
