Restoration of historic garden in downtown in Cremona

Sandrini Green wanted to give this special garden back its original soul. We are in the heart of Cremona, in a splendid palace with several bodies, the first of which date back to the 15th century, a scenic and perspective layout that refers to a typically Baroque taste, and which can already be perceived upon entering the majestic portal.

A first large courtyard surrounded by Doric columns gives us a glimpse of the large garden in perspective, closed at the back by an imposing terracotta brick wall.

Sandrini Green has recreated a play of perspectives that harkens back to that concept of theatricality typical of the eighteenth-century Lombard garden.

Large century-old trees, tilia cordata, cedars, magnolia grandiflora, have been cleaned and cared for, and are back to shining.

In front of this majestic scaffolding was also replicated a play of topiary buxus sempervirens hedges culminating, in the central part and in the direction of the perspective axis of the ‘entrance, in a scenic fountain surrounded by beautiful ancient stone statues with the typical theme of the four seasons.

In this ambitious, stylistic, and philological work, Sandrini has deliberately concealed his hand by making it appear that the garden has been there forever, to the delight of the beholder.
