The system derives from the well known agricultural technique called hydroponics, without using soil as medium. The synthetic felt where the plants take root is odorless, antibacterial and fire-proof.The principal structure of the VGS, Vertical Gardens Sandrini, is a planting mat which is self - supporting, damp-proof and fire-proof.
Between the wall and the planting mat there is a 2 cm (0.79”) space to allow air to circulate and prevent damp.
The watering system is adjusted to the orientation and climate of each site. The watering and the feeding systems are automatic.
If there is not enough natural light for your garden, an optional artificial light system can be implemented to help your garden bloom and flourish.
