Garden design

Design approach

The garden tells about the man who made it, about his desires, his ancestral dreams, his ideal place. Like a farmer shapes the earth to make it bear fruit, thus who designs a gardens surrenders a part of himself to nature, to join her in creating shapes, giving birth to a child, the garden.

An explicit, tangible and fascinating subliminal meeting between human and plant beings. Only when this union happens in the name of love for shapes, spaces and colours, then and only then the man's home, his house, blends in with the landscape and the architectural element is fulfilling and reassuring.

Light, smells, colours and plant life, in harmony with the environment, create indissoluble conditions to live harmonically, where an intimate understanding between artificial and natural shapes emerges, where you live the flow of time every moment, in every nook that, magically, moves, breathes and assumes natural shapes.

No division between stone, wood, and greenery, only an infinite series of lively joinings, continually evolving.

Man is life. He's blood that flows, like lymph in trees; together they must grow, know and love each other for all the time they will spend together, fully enjoy summer's strenght, spring's and autumn's softness, winter's harshness.

The width of an artificial space, the man's home with its limits and its virtues, needs greenery.

Only joining them wisely and with great respect one will give birth to an unvaluable jewel, where man eliminates any interference and is really "home", in a house where he doesn't "feel" the walls, like a open air home, where the intimacy of a place that is right, that satisfies every man's needs, the constant closeness to nature, its plants, its smells, prevails.

There will be no more big or small houses, the garden will have to wrap up the spaces, making it impossible to trace any boundary.
